Swell Tours Guest Lodge Accommodation

Our Accommodation is located on the Wild Coast of South Africa. We cater for the surf adventurer out there who is searching for un-crowded waves in rugged, unspoiled surroundings we offer the Transkei as an attractive destination. Situated between KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape, the Transkei is one of South Africa’s last untapped resources when it comes to surf travel. Transkei is for those who wish to escape from the cities and crowds and go exploring the many secluded coves, bays and points for good, quality surf and the most spectacular beaches.

Our Wild Coast accommodation is owned by Pro Surfer, Justin Sanders and his partner, Lee-Ann Smith. The Guest Lodge is situated in Mngcibe, on the North side of the Mdumbi River.

The Guest Lodge sleeps 8 people:
2 – En-suite Rondavels – each with double beds.
2 – Single Room – separate bathrooms – two single beds in each

We offer self-catering prices as well as fully inclusive catering prices.

Our kitchen has a freezer, fridge, stove, cutlery & crockery, toast & kettle – we run off a generator. A lovely chill room and eating area is next to the kitchen with a spectacular view. Braaiing is no problem as we have a huge braai and chill area as well as a bonfire!

Distance from the beach & River: 2 minute drive to the beach and a 6 minute walk!

Please contact us for directions. You do not need a 4×4 to get to our Guest Lodge but you do drive quite a way on dirt roads.

Lwandile

We will leave the Guest House accommodation after breakfast and spend the day at Lwandile, which has great surf, great fishing and beautiful beaches!
We will cook you a delicious lunch on the point while you surf, fish or just relax and take in the beauty!

Mapuzi Caves

This is a must do trip! After an early breakfast, we get on the road! Mapuzi has great fishing and surfing but is also just an amazing part of the coastline with loads to explore including some massive caves! We will cook you a delicious lunch on beach.

Black Rock & Hole in the Wall

Black Rock is an amazing picturesque beach, great fishing and surf depending on the conditions. You will have lunch on the beach and then head off to the most impressive landmark along the Wild Coast, Hole in the Wall. Here you can swim, kayak and soak in the beauty while your guide tells you the history behind this famous Hole.

Secret Beach

Early rise! We will leave the Guest Lodge to watch the sunrise while we cook you up a scrumptious breakfast at the well kept secret beach! Here you can swim, fish & surf depending on conditions.
