Getting the feel of the 1930's

It is a nice and elegant, well-equipped, spacious, Art Deco style-furnished holiday apartment close to Castle district, Thermal Baths and Margaret Island.

Comfortable up to 6 people, with a quiet garden-side balcony and a little one on the street side. Our apartment has two bedrooms with queen-size beds, a living room (with TV, CD and DVD players and collection) with a double sofa-bed and a nice dining room for 6 people. If necessary we have an extra double mattress (150 x 200 cm) to be installed in the master bedroom to ensure the living room function.

There is a separated, fully equipped kitchen with a table for 4, dishes-tableware, oven, stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, water heater, fridge, freezer. Modern bathroom with tub and separated toilet.

The one of the best thermal baths in 15 min. by foot

Main tourist sights of Budapest are within reach by the nearby excellent public transportation facilities or by walk. The Lukács Bath is 4 tram stops away. The neighbouring area is famous for its restaurants.

We can offer two bikes to our guests. When you arrive we can provide all necessary information (books, map, etc.) regarding your stay in Budapest.

Some information about Óbuda and How far from...

... A Jewish community existed in Óbuda in the 15th century, and vanished after the Turkish conquest in 1526. In 1712 a Jewish settlement was renewed by Yaakov Lob. In 1727 there were 24 Jewish families living in Óbuda, under the protection of the counts of Zichy. In a document recognized by the royal court in 1766 the Jews were granted freedom of religion, trading rights against payment of special taxes, and permission to live anywhere in the town - a privilege granted in Óbuda only.
The Jews of Óbuda practiced agriculture, commerce and various trades. The textile factories, established in Óbuda by Jews, among them the Goldberger company, had a reputation throughout Hungary...
