Tractor Shed Loft

A modern 160 sq m loft style open-plan apartment with an entirely glass gable end overlooking rural West Cork with distant views of Roaringwater Bay and the Atlantic. Accommodation includes 2 double bedrooms both with en suite whirlpool bath, a mezzanine loft with 2 single beds, ideal for older children as it is up a ladder, and a large sofa bed in the living area. The modern kitchen is very well equipped and the tables can accommodate more than 20 people at a sitting. Wooden floors throughout. You can reduce your carbon footprint by staying here: Heating and hot water are provided by solar panels, a 2.5kw wind turbine and a wood gasification stove fuelled by logs from the surrounding woodland. Fluffy towels and linens are provided. A laundry is available downstairs.

Yard Cottage

Built in 1840 this is the original homestead. It sits in a secluded grass yard, has abundent roses growing around the door and is a fine example of a restored stone farm cottage. Upstairs has a pitch pine floor, double bedroom with en suite bath/shower room. Downstairs has a slate floor, a twin-bedded room, galley kitchen and a cosy dining/living area.

Glensallagh Woodland Garden

All of the accommodation is located in Glensallagh Woodland Garden. Sited on the sothern facing slopes of the Miizen Peninsula near Bantry, Ballydehob, Schull and Skibereen. The garden comprises of 47 acres, approximatley 15 of which are planted with species trees and shrubs, woodland paths and flower meadows which you are encouraged to explore. The organic vegetable garden provides seasonal offerings for your welcome basket as do our brown hens! The location here at Glensallagh provides peace and privacy - a place to get away from it all -while there is plenty to see and do in the surrounding area.
