MOUNTAIN CHALET GETAWAY - Skyline Drive Virginia

Nestled in the woods by Skyline Drive - Shenandoah National Park Virginia, this 1000 square foot, 2 bedroom mountain chalet offers beautiful views of the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains. The Shenandoah Chalet features 3 acres of privacy. It's only minutes away from numerous outdoor activities such as hiking in Shenandoah National Park, skiing at Massanutten Resort, fishing, golf, tennis, river rafting, swimming, horseback riding, explore Civil War sites, over a dozen wineries to taste, antiques shopping, visit Luray Caverns, which makes our house a dream getaway for families and couples alike. The chalet can accommodate up to 4 adults and 2 children. Both bedrooms feature super comfortable firm queen beds with linens provided. Two cots supplied for the kids.

We've furnished the chalet with one goal in mind; to provide you with everything you need to have an enjoyable stress-free stay. You provide your own food and we'll take care of everything else. Central heat and central air-conditioning for your comfort. A fully equipped kitchen with pots and pans, cookware, plates, and utensils. Full bath with towels provided. Amenities include: great room with cathedral ceiling, swiss-style fireplace (with several pieces of firewood), telephone with unlimited US long distance (great for using your dial-up account for internet), Sony TV with DVD player and movie library, board games, garden, 2 decks, BBQ grill, big comfy couch, farm table seats 4, microwave oven, Bosch dishwasher, refrigerator, oven, electric range, coffee maker, toaster oven.

The chalet is located near Elkton Virginia, about 100 miles from Washington DC, and about 100 miles from Richmond, Virginia. It is an easy drive on great roads. We are only 1 mile from hiking in Shenandoah National Park, and 25 minutes from Massanutten Ski Resort. We have the best rates in the Shenandoah National Park/Skyline Drive Virginia area.

Hello Lynn, First of all, no way was I expecting the chalet to have everything you needed. I was going to put it to the test. You PASSED. Everything you can imagine you would need, is there. Second, I was skeptical about having privacy or peace and quiet. It was so quiet a pin drop would be too loud. Absolutely private and quiet, we felt very safe. I just wanted to leave you an email that I forgot to send a long time ago. My girlfriend and I went up there the weekend of July 21st just to get away for the weekend. What she didnt know is that after having a wonderful day horseback riding and enjoying downtown Luray I was going to propose to her.
